Freedom and liberty

Are there limits to our rights? Should there be? Which right should we be willing to forfeit? Which one is not a God given right? Which one really doesn't define our free country? Why do we let our government meddle in God fearing people's lives? Should we give up the right to religious practice? The right of free speech? The right to assemble? The right to privacy? The right to bear arms? Our God how long will we suffer in a land of Baal? I am convinced that, "the Great and Abominable Church," referred to in the Bible is not a recognized religion, but it is "Collective Moral-ism" headed by the media and the United Nations. Congress and the governors of most states are complicit. The congregation are basically nearly the whole world's population. Not too many see where the Holy Bible fits in their lives. How sad that politics has replaced religious tenants. So many claim Christ as their personal savior, but don't believe his words. Are we destined for doom, or are we going to wake up? Our Constitution is a restriction on our government. Why don't we encourage them to see it? Write to your congressman or congresswoman and tell him/her that you will only vote for those who will, not just give lip service to the notion of upholding the Constitution, but will be like Ron Paul and live the Constitutional public life.

We Must Get More Informed

I'm the luckiest man in the world and I understand what that really means. I'm the luckiest man in the world because in the last two or three years, I have been doing my homework and I have been reading things like I've begged you the read The Forgotten Man, Liberal Fascism, the Woodrow Wilson stuff. I know what all of this language means and it is absolutely amazing to me. Negative liberties, that the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. In other words, we're not going to take your guns, we're not going to take your speech. This is what the Progressive movement tried to do under FDR. They want to get rid of those things and tell you what they will do for you. Universal housing, universal health-care, universal jobs. This is a fundamental change. This destroys the work of the founding fathers. This takes us from a small government to an oppressive government.

Government charity is gross corruption but personal giving is respectable.

Congressman Davey Crockett:
There is a woman in my neighborhood, the widow of as gallant a man as ever shouldered a musket. He fell in battle. She is as good in every respect as this lady, and is as poor. She is earning her daily bread by her daily labor; but if I were to introduce a bill to appropriate five or ten thousand dollars for her benefit, I should be laughed at, and my bill would not get five votes in this House. There are thousands of widows in the country just such as the one I have spoken of, but we never hear of any of these large debts to them. Sir, this is no debt. The government did not owe it to the deceased when he was alive; it could not contract it after he died. I do not wish to be rude, but I must be plain. Every man in this House knows it is not a debt. We cannot, without the grossest corruption, appropriate this money as the payment of a debt. We have not the semblance of authority to appropriate it as a charity. Mr. Speaker, I have said we have the right to give as much of our own money as we please. I am the poorest man on this floor. I cannot vote for this bill, but I will give one week's pay to the object, and if every member of Congress will do the same, it will amount to more than the bill asks.

9/12 March in Washington

9-12'ers are there showing solidarity against the massive push by the liberal government to make America a socialist country. A nation where Freedom and Liberty are not allowed to be universal. Where the ruling elite, corporate elite, and the Hollywood and media elites are more equal than the majority of families that are just trying to pursue the American dream.
The group that made the call for regular Americans to join as one voice against oppression and tyranny is called the 9/12'ers. The leading voices are talk show hosts from many cities all around the nation. their philosophy is simple. 9/12 breaks down in two ideas, "principles and values."

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Thomas Jefferson:

Brigham Young:
The administration of Andrew Jackson was as good as that of any one that ever occupied the presidential chair, and he had a great many enemies. What do you think of that, you gentlemen who are acquainted with the United, or rather the once United States—you who have age and experience? You remember the struggle at the election of Andrew Jackson, and so do I. I repeat that his administration was as good as that of any man that ever administered the government. Some of his opponents did not like him very well for some of his political moves. I liked his moves, only he did not go far enough in removing the deposits and spoiling the United States Bank.
